The PM serves as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams—balancing service excellence, credit risk management, and operational precision.
This role requires strong financial acumen, proactive portfolio oversight, and a demonstrated ability to coach and lead cross-functional teams. The PM is accountable for driving portfolio growth, maintaining compliance with credit policy, and ensuring a superior client experience through collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Customer Service Representatives, Collateral Analysts, and Data Entry personnel to achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings to set goals, review metrics, and drive accountability.
- Coordinate with Finance, Credit, Collections, and Sales leadership to ensure consistency and efficiency throughout the A/R financing cycle.
- Champion process improvement, automation, and cross-department collaboration to enhance funding turnaround and data integrity.
- Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement aligned with ECS’s COACHTeam values.
- Portfolio Management & Risk Oversight
- Manage multiple client relationships while adhering to ECS’s credit policies and operational guidelines.
- Analyze account trends, collateral balances, and concentrations to identify and mitigate credit risk.
- Prepare and present credit summaries and recommendations for management or credit approval.
- Oversee the funding cycle, including data audit, invoice verification, cash disbursements, and client availability calculations.
- Monitor delinquency, over-advances, and concentration exposures to maintain a balanced and healthy portfolio.
- Partner with Credit and Collections to address high-risk accounts and resolve exceptions.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with key client decision-makers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Lead business review meetings with clients, providing insights and recommendations to optimize cash flow and financial performance.
- Cross-sell and promote additional England Logistics programs (Fuel, Brokerage, Tires, Maintenance, etc.) to strengthen overall partnership value.
- Ensure retention and growth goals are achieved through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Create and deliver accurate client and portfolio reports, credit analyses, and executive summaries.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis; recommend process or policy improvements accordingly.
- Collaborate with leadership on system enhancements and operational initiatives.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and compliance with all internal and external audit requirements.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Portfolio growth and profitability (Funds Employed, ROIC, and DSO).
- Client retention and satisfaction scores.
- Delinquency and over-advance levels within target thresholds.
- Team productivity and funding accuracy.
- Cross-sell revenue and multi-product adoption rate.
- Audit and compliance performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a B2B financial environment, ideally in factoring, asset-based lending, or credit risk management.
- Demonstrated success managing both client portfolios and cross-functional teams.
- Experience preparing and presenting credit analyses or risk memos to management.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to interpret complex data and credit trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with factoring platforms such as FactorSoft or similar systems preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to interact with executives, clients, and team members.
- Demonstrated leadership capability—able to inspire, coach, and hold others accountable.
- Strong judgment, tact, and professionalism under pressure.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
