5 elds banned

Posted & filed under Carrier Connection, England Carrier Services.

If 2025 taught us anything, it’s this: No ELD is safe from revocations.

As of October 2025, 5 ELDs have been banned for failing to meet federal requirements. This brings the year-to-date total of revocations to a whopping 25 ELDs.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s been pulled, what the FMCSA is doing about it, and how you can avoid being affected.

October ELD Revocations – 5 ELDs Banned

As of October 17, 2025, the following ELDs are no longer compliant with FMCSA standards:

  • PREMIUM ELD (ART KILIM INC)
  • TRUE LOGBOOK (Clean Aura Corp)
  • Xplore ELD (Xplore Tech Inc)
  • KAMI ELD (KAMI ELD)
  • ELD 1 (Evo ELD Inc.)

These ELDs were revoked because they failed to meet the technical and security standards outlined by the FMCSA.

What Should I Do If My ELD was Revoked?

If your ELD was tabled, you have 60 days to replace it with a compliant device.

While you shop for a change, here’s what the FMCSA suggests:

  • Immediately switch to paper logs or logging software until you’re able to replace your ELD.
  • Select a compliant ELD before December 16, the hard deadline for replacing outdated devices.

If you are still running a revoked device after December 16, you’ll be placed out of service with a no-record-of-duty status.

Additionally, it’s important to note that this year also brought the requirement of ELDs on commercial rigs—even pre-2000 engines.

FMCSA Cracking Down on ELDs

These five new revocations represent a much larger effort by the FMCSA to tighten up safety regulations.

As compliance audits increase, penalties escalate, and compliant tech is enforced, it’s more critical than ever to stay current on FMCSA requirements.
