  1. Guy Fieri-Branded Tequila

Before you ask… yes, that Guy Fieri—the one with the frosted hair and love for burger dives.

In November 2024, thieves double-brokered 24,000 bottles of Guy Fieri-branded tequila. The drivers thought it was a typical, celebrity-endorsed, goatee-donning run of booze from Laredo, TX, to Lansdale, PA. Halfway through the route, the shipment was hijacked with phony broker paperwork and diverted to a warehouse in Los Angeles.

Half the shipment was recovered. The remaining tequila is assumed to be making runs on the black market, Guy’s face being transacted in the underground.

 

  1. $1M in Lego Sets

In April 2026, two 53-foot trailers were hijacked in the Mojave Desert, carrying precious cargo: $1,000,000 in Lego blocks.

Fortunately, three men were arrested in connection with the crime and divulged the location of the Legos. The blocks were recovered entirely in a remote field, with both trailers fully intact.

Whether the criminals gave up after stepping on too many Lego blocks remains unclear.

 

  1. $433k in Cologne

An intricate crime ring spanning multiple states was busted after fumbling a bizarre theft: nearly half a million dollars’ worth of luxury cologne.

When a tractor-trailer hauling pallets of Gucci fragrances was hijacked in July of 2025, the Department of Justice issued a nationwide press release to sniff out the crime. Remarkably, they were successful.

One of the nation’s largest crime rings was apprehended. The sweet smell of victory overpowered the aromatic Gucci Guilty that day.

In one of the most expensive thefts to date, more than 400 high-powered computers for Bitcoin mining were stolen in April of 2025, with a total value of more than $2,700,000.

Incredibly, all the computers were successfully recovered just before they were shipped from Los Angeles Airport. Given the velocity of exports from LAX, recovering the computers was a miracle.

This theft highlighted an emerging concern: Bitcoin mining computers are compact for their value, require little identifying information, and are remarkably easy to deploy. The thieves are still at large but are suspected of having NFTs in their profile pictures.

After nearly half a million KitKat bars vanished during a run between Italy and Poland, KitKat reported that thieves had posed as a legitimate carrier and made off with the chocolate. What happened next is the most remarkable part.
